# Connect JumpCloud

Connect JumpCloud to Siit to run actions from a request: activate or suspend users, reset passwords and MFA, update groups, and send recovery keys privately

**Short cuts Capability :** Siit empowers your IT team with shortcuts, enabling them to trigger jumpcloud actions such as adding users to groups, clearing sessions, or resetting multifactor authentication directly from the request conversation.

### Perform tasks such as:

* Activate user
* Suspend user
* Reset user password and send a temporary password privately to the employee
* Send a computer's recovery key privately to the employee
* Expire password
* Reset user mfa
* Update user groups
* Generate a temporary password
* Retrieve a recovery key

Temporary passwords and recovery keys are sent privately to the employee, never written into the request. See [Recover a locked-out user](/guides/integrations/integrations-iam/get-locked-out-users-back-into-their-account-and-device.md) for how they are delivered and how long they last.

### Run device actions in a workflow

Workflows can also act on devices managed by JumpCloud: lock, erase, restart or shut down a device, clear its passcode or Activation Lock, and send its recovery key privately to the requester. Erasing a device asks for an approval first. See [Run device actions from a workflow](/guides/workflows/run-device-actions-from-a-workflow.md).

### Setting Up JumpCloud Integration with Siit:

1. **Navigate to the Settings Page:** Access the "Apps & Integrations" section in your Siit settings.
2. **Select Jumpcloud Actions:** Click on "Jumpcloud Actions" to initiate the setup process.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.siit.io/guides/integrations/integrations-iam/jumpcloud-actions-integration.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
